Sheryl Woolverton, LCSW. Sheryl is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in counseling.
Sheryl grew up in Lexington and earned her BSW in Social Work from Eastern Kentucky University and her MSSW in Social Work from the Kent School of Social Work at University of Louisville. She developed her expertise in crisis intervention, trauma work and life transitions while working in the domestic violence field and for the past 12 years at Hospice of the Bluegrass as a grief counselor. Her practice focuses on working with women and girls, and specializes in anxiety, loss and grief, infertility, and helping clients cope with challenges arising from school, work, marriage, divorce, retirement, and other life transitions. Additionally, she holds an adjunct faculty position in the College of Social Work at the University of Kentucky and regularly provides trainings throughout the area on ethics, grief and loss and therapeutic journal writing.
